Famines and Earthquakes
"and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places"

Recent devastating earthquakes in Haiti, Chile and China, as well as magnitude 7 plus earthquakes in Indonesia and California, might give the impression that earthquake activity is increasing. In fact, a quick look at earthquake statistics over the last twenty years shows that the number of earthquakes is not increasing. But the aim is not to be hated but to show people how much God loves them - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." John 3:16-17

Betrayal - “And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another." Matthew 24:10
Christianity is at odds with society, and that can include our family, that is focussed on self, rather than God and looking after our neighbour. We don't do a great job of showing God's love so it's not a big step for them to betray us, either in their manner or, when the authorities are against us, to turn us over even for persecution. However Matthew 24:10 speaks of when people we may have trusted in our church, who have not truly committed to Jesus, turn against us.
Love Of Many Grows Cold
“And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold." Matthew 24:12
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. Itching Ears
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths." 2 Timothy 4:3-4 ESV
Worsening Character
"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power." 2 Timothy 3:1-7
Knowledge Shall Increase
"Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." Daniel 12:4
Climate Change
Reducing our church's and our personal footprint to a sustainable level should be a Christian's priority when it comes to climate change, especially as we believe that our world is a gift from God, He told us to look after it, and each other, but we're not, and there are several warnings about that in the Bible. read a few here.
